Mo's Bacon Bar

I saw this in Whole Foods today. I am flummoxed. I love bacon and I love chocolate. But will I love bacon and chocolate together? Am I willing to pay $7 to find out?

I always feel like I should try odd things like this, because what if bacon + chocolate = heavenly delight? But then again, it's probably not worth it. Even if you like it, you've just bought yourself an expensive food habit, which we can all live without. Sigh.

I'd be willing to give it a try! I've had chocolate with smoked sea salt and that's very good. Bacon is a little bizarre-sounding, but they must have made it into a bar for a reason...

(...then again, I once saw "lobster" as an ice cream flavor option, and there is no good reason for that combo!)

My wife recently turned me onto sea salt and chocolate, which I never thought would go well together. Bacon and chocolate though? I'm not sure if my tastebuds will ever be that advanced.

This whole thing reminds me of a line out of "Accepted," which I just saw recently. One character said that he was fired for making a shrimp-slurpy. When asked why he decided to do this, he said that he did it because "he was both hungry and thirsty." Classic!

Um, yes! I went to the Vosges store when I was in NYC the last time and it was incredible! Such combinations of flavors - I never knew chocolate was so unusual and fun.
My brother-in-law is a huge fan of Vosges - he's the one who masterminded the mission.
