Fall is in the air

giles
I know these chunky Giles knits are not universally popular amongst the fashion blogging set, but I am in love. They just look so cuddly. I would love to wrap myself up in one of these super huge scarfs on a cold and blustery day. They look so warm that you might not even need much of a jacket!

I LOVE these. I actually ripped these photos out of Vogue and my co-worker is dying for me to make her one. I made one a couple years ago. I read an article in Vogue, W or somewhere that said you have to knit these on broomsticks and that is correct! Size 36 needles :-) The good thing is that it doesn't take that long. We also put buttons on the one I made so you can wear it like a big cape. They are so cuddly. You can finish one in a day and it won't cost you $4K!

I SO wish I could pull off this look. It's like carrying around a blanket all winter. Perfect for a cross-town trek on a winter day!

they ARE super cute, although the last one does look a bit like it just ate her head. :)
